'An Hour With You'

"There are thousands of words I want to say right now to you, in this hour that we share together."
An Hour with you is a solo performance, a portrait of a young woman’s search to establish a relationship with her grandmother whose only ever been Anne in faded fifties photographs in leather bound albums. The show  examines a young woman’s obsession to know her grandmother in the space of an hour, to begin to ask her thousands of questions, to begin thousands of conversations, to begin discussing all the memories that they have never shared. The show is an expression of grief, obsession and loss framed by piles of white unsent letters, a looming mirror and a thousand questions that hang on the tip of a granddaughters tongue.

Performed at the opening of the Words at Play II Festival at the Axis Art Centre in October 2014 and at Solo Project Festival March 2014
